Overview
Xiaomi unveiled the China-only Xiaomi 12S on 4 July 2022 and began sales on 6 July. It is archived separately from the 12S Pro and Ultra; the S refresh must not inherit the Xiaomi 12's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform.
China-market hardware boundaries
China configurations were 8/128, 8/256, 12/256 and 12/512 GB. The glass body is 182 g and 8.16 mm; the leather version is 179 g and 8.66 mm. Display refresh is 120 Hz, while maximum touch sampling is 240 Hz.
Imaging, charging and connectivity
The 50 MP IMX707 OIS main camera is joined by a 13 MP ultrawide and 5 MP telemacro, plus two Leica image profiles. The 4500 mAh battery supports 67 W wired, 50 W wireless and 10 W reverse wireless charging. Launch software was Android 12 / MIUI 13.
