Xiaomi MIX Fold 3

Overview

Xiaomi unveiled MIX Fold 3 on 14 August 2023 and began China sales on 16 August. Its proprietary keel hinge, four cameras and wireless charging distinguish it from MIX Fold 2's hinge, triple camera and wired-only charging.

China-market hardware boundaries

China configurations were 12/256, 16/512 and 16 GB/1 TB. Moon Shadow Black and Star Gold weigh 259 g and fold to 10.96 mm, while Dragon Scale Fiber is 255 g and 10.86 mm; all are 5.26 mm unfolded. The 6.56-inch 2520×1080 cover and 8.03-inch 2160×1916 inner displays both reach 120 Hz and 2600 nits peak brightness.

Imaging, charging and connectivity

Rear cameras are a 50 MP IMX800 23 mm main, 10 MP 75 mm telephoto, 10 MP 115 mm periscope and 12 MP 15 mm ultrawide; the inner and cover displays each have a 20 MP camera. The 4800 mAh dual-cell battery supports 67 W wired, 50 W wireless and reverse wireless charging. USB 3.2 Gen 1 requires a separately purchased compatible cable. Xiaomi explicitly warns against liquids, sand and debris, so no IP rating is inferred.
