Xiaomi MIX Fold 2

Overview

Xiaomi unveiled MIX Fold 2 on 11 August 2022 and began China sales on 16 August. Its self-developed micro-waterdrop hinge and inward-folding body make it distinct from the first MIX Fold; thickness, weight, display proportions and camera specifications are not carried over.

China-market hardware boundaries

All three China configurations use 12 GB RAM with 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB storage. Dimensions are 161.6×144.7×5.4 mm open and 161.6×73.9×11.2 mm folded. Xiaomi lists 262 g and 269 g by finish. The 6.56-inch 2520×1080 cover and 8.02-inch 2160×1914 inner displays both reach 120 Hz.

Imaging, charging and connectivity

Rear cameras are a 50 MP IMX766 OIS main, 8 MP 45 mm 2× telephoto and 13 MP 123-degree ultrawide, with a 20 MP front camera. The 4500 mAh parallel dual-cell battery lists 67 W wired charging only; wireless charging and an IP rating are not inferred. Xiaomi warns users not to remove the dedicated inner protector and to avoid liquids, sand and foreign objects.
