Overview
Xiaomi MIX Fold was unveiled in China on 30 March 2021 and entered first sale on 16 April. It was Xiaomi's first retail foldable phone, using an inward-folding book form. Later MIX Fold 2, 3 and 4 hardware remains separate.
Two displays, body and configurations
The 8.01-inch 2480×1860 flexible OLED inner display runs at 60 Hz with 120 Hz touch sampling. The 6.52-inch 2520×840 AMOLED outer display runs at 90 Hz with 180 Hz touch sampling. Each panel's refresh and sampling figures are recorded separately.
Folded width is 69.8 mm and thickness 17.2 mm; unfolded width is 133.38 mm and thickness 7.62 mm. The 317 g black standard edition uses glass with a ceramic texture, while the 332 g Ceramic Special Edition uses black ceramic. Launch pairings were 12/256, 12/512 and 16/512 GB.
Liquid lens, sound and charging
Rear imaging combines a 108 MP main, liquid lens and 13 MP 123-degree ultrawide. The liquid lens serves 30× digital telephoto output and 3 cm macro. Xiaomi's specification does not publish its megapixel count beside that entry, so an aggregate-database number is not imported. Surge C1 is a dedicated image processor and does not replace Snapdragon 888 as the main platform.
Four 1216 speakers carry Harman Kardon tuning. The 5020 mAh battery supports 67 W wired charging; unlisted wireless charging is not invented. Launch software was Android 10 / MIUI 12, an unusual baseline cross-checked in two contemporary launch reports.
China network and region scope
This is the China-market model. Both SIMs can register on 5G, secondary-SIM SA required an OTA, and n1/n3 also depended on operator deployment and software support. The package lists a power adapter and Type-C audio adapter. Overseas boxes and later system updates do not rewrite its launch state.
