Overview
Original 2018 Mi MIX 3 hides its dual front cameras behind a manual magnetic slider. It uses Snapdragon 845 and a 6.39-inch AMOLED; later 5G hardware must not supply this model's chipset or battery.
China editions
The maker lists 6/128, 8/128 and 8/256 GB, plus Palace Museum 10/256 GB, with LPDDR4x and UFS 2.1. The 128 and 256 GB editions also use different radio coverage. RAM alone does not establish global bands. The historical special SIM promotion is not a current service promise.
Cameras and firmware
A 12 MP OIS main/telephoto rear pair accompanies 24 MP/2 MP front cameras exposed by the slider. The 960-frame firmware mode is not asserted as continuous native 960fps capture. Android 9 / MIUI 10 appears in both 2018 hands-on and early retail reviews; unfinished pre-release functions and later OTA additions are kept separate.
