Overview
Original Mi MIX brought Xiaomi's narrow top and side bezels to a retail device in 2016. Its initial concept framing does not mean it remained an unshipped prototype. Snapdragon 821 and Android 6.0 / MIUI 8 form its platform.
Design and editions
The 6.4-inch IPS screen is 2040×1080 at 17:9, not ordinary 1920×1080. The front camera sits below it. A piezoelectric earpiece and ultrasonic proximity sensing replace conventional upper components. Ceramic describes the rear, frame and buttons, not the display glass.
Standard 4/128 GB and premium 6/256 GB editions remain in one model archive; the latter adds 18K gold-plated rings. Later MIX generations are separate models. A 16 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and 4400 mAh typical battery complete the main hardware. Narrow bezels do not establish waterproofing.
