Overview
Mi 9 Pro 5G upgrades the 2019 digital line to Snapdragon 855 Plus, a 196 g body and a 4000 mAh typical battery. It is distinct from original Mi 9.
China network
The maker explicitly specifies NSA-only 5G, no SA, primary 5G and secondary 4G, with n41/n78/n79. CDMA/EVDO are excluded. The inventory confirms 8/128, 8/256, 12/256 and 12/512 GB; an unverified UFS revision is not assigned.
Charging and cameras
Handset limits are 40 W wired, 30 W wireless and 10 W reverse wireless. The included 45 W adapter is not 45 W phone charging; the compatible wireless stand is separate. Rear cameras retain main, 2x telephoto and ultrawide roles, with ultrawide close focus rather than a fourth macro camera.
Firmware
The maker’s MIUI 11 feature list expressly requires later OTA. Initial Android and MIUI retail patches remain unresolved. eID and car-key functions have additional service and model conditions.
