Mi 9 transparent premium, called Explorer in contemporary international hands-on coverage, is the 2019 Snapdragon 855 family’s 12/256 GB member. It is distinct from the preceding Mi 8 Explorer.
Editions and optics
The maker separately lists 12/256 GB premium and 8/256 GB transparent configurations. Appearance alone does not establish identical memory or optics. Standard Mi 9 and SE have their own records.
Launch hands-on material lists f/1.47 for Explorer’s main camera, while the surviving shared maker table gives generic f/1.75 and six-element wording. Both scopes are retained; lens consistency across retail batches and the 8 GB transparent model remains unresolved.
Platform
Its decorative visible rear layout is not proof of the working motherboard structure. The 6.39-inch AMOLED, Snapdragon 855, 3300 mAh typical battery, 27 W wired and 20 W wireless charging continue the flagship base. Android 9 / MIUI 10 describes the launch sample, with no universal first retail patch inferred. This is a 4G handset.
