Overview
China's screen-fingerprint edition is related to international Mi 8 Pro. China capacity, colours and bands follow its own maker table; overseas review states are explicitly scoped.
Family differences
It uses infrared face recognition, not Explorer's structured-light hardware. Weight is 177 g and battery 3000 mAh typical. The maker's 6/128 and 8/128 GB colour pairs are not identical, so a reviewed global 8 GB unit is not every China configuration.
Display and software
The 6.21-inch 2248×1080 AMOLED and wide/telephoto rear pair continue the flagship hardware. QC4+ device support is separate from its supplied QC3.0 adapter. A 2018 global unit shipped with Android 8.1 / MIUI 9 before updating to MIUI 10; that does not establish China's first skin patch or current regional transit services.
