Overview
Mi 6 continued Xiaomi's compact flagship line in 2017 with Snapdragon 835 and a 5.15-inch Full HD screen. The rear 12 MP wide and 12 MP telephoto cameras differ from Mi 5s Plus's colour/monochrome pair. Four-axis OIS belongs to the wide camera; the maker's approximately2x focal-length ratio is 1.93x.
Editions and hardware
Early 6 GB RAM pairs with64/128 GB flash; the surviving page includes a later 4/64 GB edition. Glass finishes weigh168 g and ceramic premium 182 g. The latter remains one Mi 6 finish, not a different processor model.
There is no native3.5 mm socket. The supplied USB-C adapter and stereo external speakers serve different audio paths. Xiaomi's limited splash statement does not establish an IP rating. Battery capacity is 3350 mAh typical and 3250 mAh minimum, with18 W Quick Charge 3.0.
Early software
Early software belongs to Android 7.1 /MIUI 8. The June2017 review sample ran7.1.1 /8.2; that patch is not a universal China launch guarantee. No retail date is inferred from the review.
