Overview
First-generation Xplay combines a 5.7-inch Full HD LTPS LCD, Snapdragon 600, 2 GB RAM, 3400 mAh battery and rear stereo speakers; its CS4398 / CS8422 audio stage gains an OPA2604 amplifier.
Period and variants
Original Xplay is introduced in Beijing on 7 May 2013. The event names a 2998-yuan 16 GB edition and a mid-to-late-May sale plan, with 32 GB and TD editions to follow. Announcement, preorder and review-unit arrival do not establish a verified first retail delivery date.
Original WCDMA X510w uses Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB RAM, a 5.7-inch Full HD LTPS LCD and fixed 3400 mAh battery. Later TD-SCDMA X510t uses a separate baseband and ROM; the blue colour is documented in that variant’s firsthand review. Xplay3S hardware is separate.
The CS4398 / CS8422 audio stage gains an OPA2604 amplifier. Rear stereo speakers and orientation-aware channel switching are distinct from the headphone Hi-Fi path. Chip ratings and promotional listening claims are not complete-device measurements.
The separate 5 MP front and 13 MP rear cameras do not form an 18 MP camera. NFC tags and USB OTG storage do not imply a memory-card slot. The advertised 2.3 mm figure describes the inner display bezel rather than the complete edge.
Android 4.2.2-based Smart vivo ROM provides scene desktops, guest mode and a mirrored one-hand mini-window on the same display. Later Funtouch OS releases are not treated as launch software. The original white manufacturer render illustrates the body, without proving a retail firmware build.
