Overview
P900 develops the P800 flap-and-stylus PDA design with65,536 colours, built-in short video recording and MP3 ringtones, retaining Memory Stick Duo and installable Symbian applications.
Period and variants
The factory announced P900 on20 October2003 with regional shipping planned the following month; the earlier October hands-on used a prototype. December factory dimensions115×57×24mm and150g with battery/flap take precedence over prototype measurements.
48MB is Symbian flash, not RAM. Factory diagrams show16MB RAM and flash split into32MB system plus16MB standard user storage; Chinese P908 lists13MB. The supplied32MB original Memory Stick Duo expands up to128MB in the factory documentation. P910 PRO Duo and unofficial modifications are separate.
One touchscreen exposes208×320 open and208×208 with the flap closed. Native QCIF recording and MP3 ringtones distinguish P900 from original P800 software. The2004 retail review reports a larger1260mAh battery; the2003 prototype reports1000mAh, so both remain explicitly qualified. Rated historical endurance does not predict a surviving old battery.
