Overview
The 2012 Galaxy Note II develops Samsung’s large-screen S Pen concept with launch Android 4.1, a nominal 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM and a 3100 mAh battery.
Period and variants
The 29 August IFA announcement schedules October availability in major European, Asian and Middle Eastern markets. This entry uses international 3G GT-N7100 as its baseline; the original table’s separate LTE option must not be assigned to every Note II.
The stored S Pen supports previews, handwriting and commands. Here Air View means pen hover, distinct from the finger-hover feature later used by Galaxy S4.
The manufacturer quotes 180 g while the review reports 182 g. Nominal 5.5-inch and reviewed 5.55-inch descriptions are retained with attribution. The announcement lists 16 / 32 / 64 GB versions, but the reviewed device has 16 GB. The 64 GB card allowance is separate. The photographed S Pen belongs to the device; the grey body alone does not establish its radio variant.
