Overview

The original Galaxy Note combines a 5.3-inch high-resolution display with a built-in S Pen. This archive documents international GT-N7000 separately from LTE hardware.

Period and variants

The original announcement is dated 1 September 2011; the 25 October London event belongs to the later commercial launch. Fourth-quarter retail testing confirms the handset without establishing one first sale day for every market. The launch-period sample runs Android 2.3.5 with TouchWiz 4.0; later photographed software is separate.

GT-N7000 pairs a 1.4GHz dual-core Exynos 4210 with 1GB RAM and 3G HSPA. Family-level LTE claims and optional regional NFC are not assigned indiscriminately to it. Dimensions follow Samsung’s original 146.85×82.95×9.65mm figure, rather than an erroneous width in another table.

The original battery-free S Pen includes a side button and works with S Memo and screenshot annotation, storing inside the handset. Unverified pressure-level counts are omitted. The 2500mAh battery is removable, the tested card slot is not hot-swappable, and MHL requires a compatible externally powered adapter.
