Overview

N1 pairs a rotating 13 MP camera with O-Touch rear gestures and O-Click Bluetooth control. Original hardware has a 5.9-inch Full HD screen, Snapdragon 600, 2 GB RAM and fixed 3610 mAh battery; a separate CyanogenMod edition follows.

Period and variants

N1 is introduced in Beijing on 23 September 2013. OPPO’s later plan names 11 November for China, while S-MAX distinguishes N1T and a December international rollout. These regional plans do not establish a verified worldwide first retail day.

One 13 MP module rotates manually through 206 degrees for rear photography or selfies. The flash rotates with it. This is one camera, and rotation does not imply optical stabilization. 1080p at 30 fps and lower-resolution high-speed recording are separate modes.

O-Touch is a rear gesture sensor, while O-Click is a separate Bluetooth remote. Ordinary international N1 ships with Android 4.2.2-based ColorOS. OPPO separately announces a CyanogenMod edition with adaptations for the camera and controls.

The fixed battery is 3610 mAh, corroborated by the event follow-up and handset reviews, rather than the 3500 figure in an early report. TD-SCDMA and international WCDMA editions differ. Advertised USB OTG fails in FoneArena’s tested firmware; ac Wi-Fi and an all-metal or ceramic rear remain unconfirmed.

The February 2014 photos preserve exhibition surroundings and screen reflections. They illustrate the camera positions, without establishing launch firmware or regional edition.
