Overview
Find 7a combines Full HD, 2 GB / 16 GB, replaceable battery and VOOC in a 2014 flagship. Its single SIM, expansion, camera and regional radios are recorded separately from QHD Find 7.
Period and variants
OPPO announced Find 7 and Find 7a together on 19 March 2014. The 7a uses a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS, 2 GB / 16 GB and 2800 mAh, distinct from the QHD sibling’s larger memory and battery. Its release labels the 2.3 GHz MSM8974AB Snapdragon 800, while retail reviews and a firsthand processor comparison call it Snapdragon 801. The numbering and clock agree; branding/revision mapping remains open.
VOOC and removable parts
A removable plastic rear exposes a replaceable battery, single MicroSIM and separate microSD. Original dimensions are 152.6 × 75 × 9.2 mm and 170 g; a review table’s 171 g remains separately attributed. Top 3.5 mm, bottom microUSB 2.0 / OTG, left power, right volume and the blue Skyline strip distinguish the layout. VOOC uses a reviewed 4.5 A charger and additional cable contacts. Period charging claims do not guarantee aged-battery behaviour.
The 13 MP f/2.0 autofocus IMX214 and dual LED support software-generated 50 MP output, rather than a 50 MP sensor. Retail recording lists 4K30, 1080p30 and 720p120. Gorilla Glass 3, glove touch, dual-band ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Miracast follow originals and firsthand reports. International and Mexico/US bands stay separate. Launch ColorOS 1.2 uses Android 4.3; another table’s 4.4 does not rewrite launch firmware. The source three-view product illustration is retained without independent physical identification or firmware inference.
