Period and variants
OPPO announces Find 7 and Find 7 a in Beijing on 19 March 2014. This entry covers the QHD Find 7:5.5-inch 2560 ×1440 IPS/538 ppi, Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC 2.5GHz,3 GB RAM/32 GB flash,3000 mAh and 171 g. Find 7 a’s Full HD screen, AB 2.3 GHz,2 GB/16 GB,2800 mAh and 170 g remain separate despite similar fronts. Original Android 4.3/ColorOS 1.2.0 is kept apart from later updates.
The 152.6 ×75 ×9.2 mm phone has a magnesium-aluminium internal frame in the announcement and a plastic/polycarbonate exterior rear cover in two hands-on reviews. Its textured finish is not real carbon-fibre unibody construction. Capacitive navigation, the lower Skyline notification strip, left power/right volume, top 3.5 mm, bottom microUSB 2 and rear speaker follow physical observations. The cover and battery are removable, exposing Micro-SIM and microSD. PhoneArena reports 128 GB expansion; the original release only says expandable.
A physical 13 MP Sony IMX214 f/2 six-element rear camera produces 50 MP Ultra HD/Super Zoom output through multiframe software, not a 50 MP sensor. Conflicting descriptions of frame count are left unresolved. A 5 MP front camera, dual LEDs, RAW/HDR/panorama and slow-shutter modes follow period firmware. Original and tested recording includes 4K 30 and 1080 p 30, with 720 p 120 slow motion in the review; advertised 1080 p 60 was absent from that unit.
VOOC needs compatible charging accessories, with a 4.5 A adapter in the review. Period 75% in 30 minutes claims/tests are not guarantees for aged batteries. International, Mexico/US and Indonesian radio tables remain separate; LTE absent from the Indonesian table is not imported from other variants. Original “5G Wi-Fi” means 5GHz 802.11 ac, rather than cellular 5G; differing review bgn wording is attributed without an invented explanation. Glove/wet-touch support and Gorilla Glass 3 do not establish an IP rating.
The image is the original Find 7 review’s product illustration, retaining the front/rear pair and blue background. The review does not separately credit its image author or provide an explicit reuse licence. It is recorded as unspecified and not claimed as a firsthand photograph. Model association follows the review label; similar appearance alone does not distinguish Find 7 a or regional radio hardware.
