Period and variants
Nokia announced that shipments had begun on 24 July 2006. This does not establish a universal first retail day. The record describes the original 2006 handset and early software; Music Edition and subsequent firmware are separate.
RM-133 has UMTS 2100MHz, whereas RM-132 is GSM/EDGE. Launch-period testing found no A2DP. Expansion uses miniSD; audio and data use Pop-Port. The published 42MB figure describes user storage, whose free space varies with software and files. It is not RAM, and a contemporary reviewer’s explicitly speculative CPU clock is excluded.
