Overview
E71 packages mobile email, office documents, Wi-Fi and assisted GPS into a slim metal-bodied phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard.
Period and variants
Announced on 16 June 2008, with shipments planned for July in key markets; an exact first retail day is unverified. This is E71, distinct from AT&T’s E71x and from E72 software and connectors.
Three regional WCDMA band pairs must not be combined into a universal four-band 3G radio. The headset socket is 2.5mm and data uses Micro-USB. Its 369MHz CPU, 128MB RAM and approximately 110MB user file space are separate. Manufacturer 126g and contemporary approximately 127g figures differ, as do thickness conventions; the table explicitly identifies the manufacturer’s figures.
