Overview

7610 combines asymmetric numeric keys, exchangeable covers and Nokia’s first megapixel phone camera with Series 60, RS-MMC and Lifeblog integration.

Period and variants

Nokia’s original release is dated 17 March 2004, with second-quarter availability planned. The 900/1800/1900 MHz 7610 and 850/1800/1900 MHz 7610b are separate tri-band variants. Factory dimensions are 108.6 × 53 × 18.7 mm; the rounded contemporary table is retained as such. Weight includes the 900 mAh battery.

The advertised 1 MP camera produces 1152 × 864 stills. Its 4× zoom is digital. Native clips use 128 × 96 or 176 × 144, up to ten minutes. Pop-Port and MP3 playback do not imply stereo output: both actual reviews describe mono audio. DKU-2 data and the charging socket are separate.

8 MB denotes user files. A reviewer’s roughly 9 MB free after startup cannot establish total RAM. The 64 MB RS-MMC was supplied in contemporary packages; its full-size adapter must be removed before phone insertion. A 128 MB accessory listing is not a maximum. Symbian 7.0s / Series 60 2.1 does not guarantee every older application works; unverified CPU and total RAM remain unspecified.
