Period and variants
Nokia announces the 6120 classic on 17 April 2007, planning Q2 shipments. A worldwide first retail day remains unverified. Symbian 9.2, S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and HSDPA fit in an 89 g candybar. The older 1990s 6120 and later 6121 classic remain separate; RM-243 uses 850/2100 MHz 3G rather than the 6121’s 900/2100 MHz pair.
A 2-inch QVGA screen and physical keys coexist with multitasking and installable software. Reviewed 64 MB total RAM, around 20 MB free RAM, 128 MB flash and roughly 35 MB user storage are distinct measurements. The 2 MP rear camera lacks autofocus and records QVGA at 15 fps. Retail reviews call the front camera QVGA; the early maker sheet calls it CIF+, without establishing a common megapixel figure.
The maker factsheet and GSMA hardware review agree on an 890 mAh BL-5B. Another review records 820 mAh and lithium-polymer; no exact variant or error mapping has been established. Bottom 2.5 mm audio, Mini-USB data and a separate charger socket remain distinct; USB does not charge the reviewed handset. A single left speaker is mono. GPS Data needs an external Bluetooth GPS receiver; the phone has no integrated GPS or Wi-Fi. The supplied Python for S60 photograph demonstrates separately installed software, not a factory application list.
