Overview

The 2007 Nokia 5610 XpressMusic combines a numeric slider and Music Slider with a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2 MP autofocus camera, dual LEDs, 2.5 mm audio and removable battery.

Period and variants

Nokia announces the 5610 XpressMusic on 29 August 2007 with a Q4 shipping plan. An exact first retail day remains unconfirmed. This Series 40 5th Edition Feature Pack 1 phone combines a numeric slider with a separate spring-return Music Slider: left opens music and right opens FM. Its Navi key remains mechanical. Aluminium trims complement a plastic body.

The 2.2-inch QVGA display accompanies a 3.2 MP autofocus camera with dual LEDs and a front video-call camera. Top 2.5 mm audio requires an adapter for 3.5 mm headphones, and there is one rear loudspeaker. Both handset reviews confirm PC charging through Micro-USB alongside the separate Nokia charger socket. The original guide confirms RDS and the wired-headset FM antenna.

The RM-242 guide lists quad-band GSM and WCDMA 850/2100 MHz; other regional variants need separate checks. Mobile-review’s roughly 28 MB user space is not RAM. An optional and successfully tested 4 GB card does not establish a universal limit. Guide instructions permit card replacement without switching off when it is not in use, and Printing & Media includes Windows Media Player sync. Conflicting review wording is not assigned an invented firmware cause. Bluetooth stereo is attributed to the review; an abbreviated guide profile list is not an absence test.

The photo retains the original German music-player screen. It records the handset’s appearance without establishing factory firmware, launch dates or radio bands.
