MX4 Pro

Overview

MX4 Pro adds Exynos 5430, a 2560 × 1536 screen, physical mTouch and dedicated headphone audio. Maker, HK supplier and contemporary retail evidence retain conflicting battery and display definitions.

Period and variants

Announced in China on 19 November 2014, MX4 Pro uses 20 nm Exynos 5430: four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A15 plus four 1.5 GHz A7 cores, Mali-T628 MP6 and 3 GB dual-channel LPDDR3. Its 16/32/64 GB storage lacks microSD. The original December 6 sales date is a plan, rather than a verified global first-sale day.

Display, mTouch and headphone audio

The 2560 × 1536 display is marketed as 5.5 inches; the HK supplier sheet specifies 5.465. Maker/carrier JDI and 546 ppi differ from the early announcement’s Sharp and 542 ppi, without a confirmed supplier mapping. A removable plastic rear sits inside a metal frame, but the battery is sealed. Contemporary announcement and retail reviews specify 3350 mAh; the preserved maker table’s 3100 remains unresolved, without inventing rated/typical definitions.

The physical mTouch button combines capacitive fingerprints, sapphire and a stainless ring. Top power/3.5 mm, side volume and bottom microUSB 2.0/mono speaker retain a practical layout. ESS ES9018K2M and TI OPA1612 serve headphone audio rather than stereo loudspeakers. A 20.7 MP f/2.2 IMX220 rear, dual-tone LED and 5 MP f/2.2 OV5693 front accompany reviewed 4K30, 1080p30 and 720p100 slow-motion capture with 25 fps export. Marketing focus speed does not establish PDAF. Early Flyme 4/4.1 uses Android 4.4.4; HK bands remain regional.
