Overview

Meizu MX3 pairs a 5.1-inch 1080×1800 screen and Flyme 3.0 with Exynos 5410, 2 GB LPDDR3, an 8 MP f/2.0 rear camera and 2400 mAh battery. Its two quad-core CPU clusters and capacity-specific NFC are important distinctions: the 16 GB model lacks NFC.

Period and variants

The 2 September 2013 announcement precedes retail on 28 September. The retail-day report lists initial 16/32/64 GB stock, while launch-period material also advertises 128 GB. Advertised capacity and first-day availability are kept separate. Original M351 testing covers WCDMA, without merging later cellular editions.

Portrait resolution is 1080×1800, corresponding to 15:9 in landscape. Exynos 5410 has four Cortex-A15 cores up to 1.6 GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores up to 1.2 GHz. Period AnTuTu 4 testing identifies the processor as quad-core; the eight-core marketing label is not treated as eight simultaneous cores. RAM is 2 GB LPDDR3, separate from internal flash, without external cards.

16 GB lacks NFC; 32 GB and larger variants support it. An engineering firmware battery-menu entry is not proof of NFC hardware. The cover opens but the battery is not user-swappable. Stabilisation is not assumed optical. The photo shows MX3 at right in an Ubuntu-phone demonstration, providing an appearance reference rather than launch-software evidence. Launch software remains Flyme 3.0 / Android 4.2.
