Overview
Optimus 2X represents early dual-core Android with Tegra2, a4-inch IPS display, separate microHDMI and Full HD recording, plus removable battery and microSD expansion.
Period and variants
The16 December2010 factory announcement specified Android2.2, with Korea planned for January and other regions to follow. The review began with a February2011 sample and added retail results on25 March. International configuration is kept separate from SU660, P999 and carrier variants.
A1GHz dual-core Tegra2 accompanies512MB RAM.8GB is internal storage, with microSD up to32GB. The retail update reports nominal1080p24fps and720p30fps, with slightly lower measured rates possible. Full HD does not imply30fps in every mode or optical stabilization.
The dedicated output is microHDMI; bottom data/charging is microUSB. Physical inspection takes precedence over a miniHDMI typo in the connectivity chapter. Two bottom grilles house one speaker and one microphone. The international test reports HSDPA10.2Mbps/HSUPA5.76Mbps without combining regional bands; later software does not rewrite Android2.2 at launch.
