Overview
Ascend P6 establishes an early P-series design with a 6.18 mm metal body and curved lower edge. Its 4.7-inch 720p screen, 1.5 GHz quad-core platform, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB storage and 5 MP front camera belong to the original 3G generation.
Period and variants
Huawei introduces P6 in London on 18 June 2013, followed by a China Mobile TD-SCDMA event the next day. The manufacturer schedules China for June and western Europe for July; Australia separately names 15 July. A universal first retail day remains unverified.
Original software is Android 4.2.2 with Emotion UI 1.6. The tested K3V2 / Hi3620 identification and the Chinese K3V2E announcement label are recorded together. Later P6S, LTE editions and updated software do not define this original model. The international review unit has one micro-SIM and a separate microSD slot; the China Mobile edition changes the radio system.
A fixed 2000 mAh battery sits inside the thin body. The micro-USB socket is on top. The left headphone socket has a removable plug that also ejects the right-side cards. MagicTouch glove input and Emotion’s home-screen arrangement accompany the hardware.
The real black-phone photograph preserves its box and surroundings, without identifying its operator edition or installed software.
