Overview

The 2013 HTC One, commonly called M7, combines an aluminium body, a 4.7-inch Full HD screen and front BoomSound stereo speakers. Its 4 MP UltraPixel rear camera uses large sensor pixels and optical stabilisation.

Period and variants

HTC announced One in London and New York on 19 February 2013 and planned March availability across multiple markets. This entry records the original single-SIM Android 4.1.2 / Sense 5 configuration. Later Google Play Edition, regional dual-SIM designs and M8 remain separate.

Speaker grilles above and below the screen and a curved aluminium rear define M7. Plastic-filled joins provide separation between metal sections. Only Back and Home are capacitive controls; the central HTC logo is decorative. The power key contains an infrared appliance-remote emitter.

UltraPixel is a camera name, not a higher megapixel count: the rear camera has about four megapixels, 2 µm pixels and optical stabilisation. Launch-era Zoe combines brief clips with stills. The 32 / 64 GB variants have no microSD expansion in this single-SIM design. LTE bands depend on the specific model, and MHL requires an external adapter. Background headphones in the side photograph do not establish a bundled accessory.
