Overview

HTC HD2 brings a 4.3-inch capacitive display, 1GHz Snapdragon and HTC Sense to Windows Mobile. This archive follows global T8585 memory and radio specifications.

Period and variants

HTC announced HD2 on 6 October 2009, planning selected European operator availability later that month. November retail tests establish fourth-quarter availability without an exact universal first-sale day. Launch software is Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with HTC Sense.

The global factory table lists 448MB RAM, nominal 512MB flash, 120.5mm length and WCDMA 900/2100MHz. The later US T-Mobile variant is separate, as are unofficial memory unlocks and replacement software. Bluetooth follows the factory manual’s 2.1 specification.

Pinch gestures depend on adapted applications: Opera Mobile supports them, while Internet Explorer Mobile 6 differs. The removable steel cover exposes a 1230mAh battery. A 16GB card worked in contemporary testing. Its autofocus camera has dual LED flash and VGA30 recording.
