Overview

Honor 6 combines Kirin 920, 3 GB RAM, a 5-inch Full HD screen and a marketed 3100 mAh battery in a roughly 7.5 mm body. This early Honor 4G flagship includes microSD and infrared control; SIM, NFC and radio capabilities vary by edition.

Period and variants

The Beijing introduction takes place on 24 June 2014. Reservations precede an actual first sale at 10:08 on 1 July, the retail date recorded here. Launch software is Android 4.4.2 with Emotion UI 2.3.

Original Kirin 920 uses four A15 cores up to 1.7 GHz and four A7 up to 1.3 GHz, with HMP and Mali-T628 MP4. Other advertised clocks or later premium editions are separate. The reflective frame does not establish a metal chassis; firsthand reviews describe composite or polycarbonate construction.

Chinese L01/L11 Mobile editions are single-SIM, L02/L12 Unicom editions dual micro-SIM. Launch 16 GB lacks NFC; Chinese 32 GB high editions add it. The European 16 GB review also confirms one SIM and no NFC. Network activation depends on edition and firmware; the early Unicom FDD description is limited to international roaming.

The Chinese and European reviews list 64 GB microSD support. Verify compatibility for the particular model and software. Multi-frame refocusing is a camera software feature, and two LEDs do not imply two colour temperatures.

The MWC 2015 photograph shows real white handsets and their display stand, without establishing launch software, storage or radio edition.
