Overview
Nexus One begins Google’s Nexus phone line with HTC hardware, a trackball, 1GHz Snapdragon and a 3.7-inch display.
Period and variants
Google announced Nexus One and opened web-store ordering on 5 January 2010 for the US, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. The date describes ordering availability, not delivery in every market. Launch software is Android 2.1 Eclair without HTC Sense.
Launch AMOLED and later Super LCD production differ. Photographs cannot identify the panel. Nominal 512MB flash reserves system space separately from 512MB RAM.
Factory UMTS I/IV/VIII and AT&T/Rogers I/II/V hardware are separate. The guide qualifies 720×480 recording as 20fps or higher depending on light; inconsistent review frame-rate shorthand is not adopted. Initial US stock-app pinch restrictions differ from subsequent updates and third-party applications.
