Overview
The 2007 Curve 8320 adds Wi-Fi to a QWERTY BlackBerry with a trackball, landscape 320 × 240 screen and 2 MP camera. Its GSM and carrier-dependent UMA configuration is distinct from other Curve variants.
Period and variants
The joint announcement documents US availability in September 2007, but its heading and dateline differ by a day. Migrated timestamps do not establish launch. Kevin’s May 2008 comparison directly identifies his 8320 running 4.2.2 without proving a universal first-batch patch version.
HotSpot@Home UMA calling depends on operator infrastructure and subscription. Connecting to a router alone is insufficient; contemporary reviewers also experienced different handover results. The 64 MB figure is Flash, not RAM. Cards sit under the battery, and the reviewed 2007 camera software has no video recorder even though the media player plays video. Maps does not imply integrated GPS. The image section uses the illustration attached to an original 8320 review, with its identification limits stated below.
BlackBerry retired legacy BBOS and BlackBerry 10 services on 4 January 2022. Historical messaging and connection features do not establish reliable operation today.

The illustration comes from Absolute Gadget’s original Curve 8320 review dated 24 August 2008. The source uses a silver-front product illustration with a black background and reflection, without a separately credited image author. It is not claimed as the reviewer’s firsthand handset photograph. Related 8300-series fronts look similar: the model association follows the review’s label, rather than independently proving radio hardware, regional variant or software from appearance. Original bytes and framing are unchanged. Rights are unspecified, with no CC/public-domain claim.
