The iPhone 6 Plus established a distinct large-screen configuration with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, larger battery and optical camera stabilisation.

Dates and versions

Announced alongside iPhone 6 on 9 September 2014; initial retail markets opened on 19 September and mainland China on 17 October. Launch software was iOS 8 with 16/64/128GB storage.

The Plus rear camera adds optical stabilisation, and its inspected battery label states 2915mAh. RAM remains 1GB, not 2GB. The table gives the panel’s physical 1920×1080 resolution. Bluetooth follows the contemporary 4.0 teardown specification. A1522, A1524 and other regional identifiers have different radio support.

RAM and battery ratings come from physical inspections and hands-on reports, rather than Apple’s public specification table. The date field uses first-market retail availability.
